Connecting Swivel to HeyTaco! lets you automatically award HeyTaco tacos as prizes when a user wins a spin — no manual sending required. It's a great way to layer Swivel's spinning excitement on top of an existing HeyTaco recognition culture.

Setting up

Open Integrations in the Swivel app

From the Swivel app menu, click Integrations.

Find HeyTaco and click Connect

Locate HeyTaco in the integrations list and click Connect.

Complete the HeyTaco auth flow

You'll be taken through HeyTaco's authentication to grant Swivel permission to send tacos on your behalf. Follow the prompts to complete the connection.

Once connected, HeyTaco Tacos appears as an available prize type when creating new prizes.

Creating a HeyTaco prize

  1. Go to Prizes in the Swivel app and click Create Prize
  2. Select HeyTaco Tacos as the prize type
  3. Set the number of tacos to award
  4. Save the prize
  5. Attach the prize to a slice on any of your spinners

When a user lands on a HeyTaco slice, tacos are sent to them automatically at the moment of the win — no admin action needed. The win is logged in Reward Management as Auto-fulfilled.

Tip

Create multiple HeyTaco prize tiers — for example, a 3-taco slice and a 10-taco slice — to give your wheel a range of reward sizes. Pair higher taco counts with lower win ratios for the best experience.

Notes

  • HeyTaco must be installed in the same Slack workspace as Swivel. If HeyTaco isn't in your workspace, the integration won't work.
  • Both the admin and the winner need to be part of the connected HeyTaco workspace for the taco delivery to succeed.
  • All HeyTaco wins are tracked in the Reward Management tab as Auto-fulfilled, so you have a full record of every taco awarded through Swivel.

Note

HeyTaco's own taco limits still apply. If a user is at their daily receiving limit in HeyTaco, the automated taco from Swivel may not go through. Check your HeyTaco settings if you notice delivery issues.
